Medics would carry what was needed to stabilise a wounded soldier until they could receive the necessary medical care required. In his medic satchel would be field dressings and shell dressings, and he carries a medic canteen, which was larger than a standard one.

The minifigure also comes with a BrickArms Brodie helmet that has been pad printed with a red cross.
